Our History
North American Muscle was established in 2020 by CEO and Founder Paul Hahn. Originally from South Africa, Paul found that the gym environment offered a community that appealed to his every sense.
The weight lifting environment is one where you have to be patient and put the work in before you see results. Being in shape and taking care of oneself has so many personal benefits but it also speaks volumes about the individual as it takes discipline, dedication and consistency.
Growing up in South Africa in the 1980’s Paul always looked to the United States as the mecca for bodybuilding and weightlifting equipment, a belief that he still holds strongly to this day. Paul was fortunate to be the beneficiary of a system that put an emphasis on skilled trade acquisition. Paul is qualified with a National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and a Red Seal Trade certification.
Paul emigrated to Canada in 1997 with the ultimate goal of eventually ending up in the United States but very soon after arriving established himself in Canada and decided to open his business. In 2020 and in the midst of the covid lockdowns it became abundantly clear that many people were forced into buying poor quality and or off-shore gym equipment and in that moment, it was decided to combine passion for manufacturing and the passion for the fitness industry and establish a company that represents both. North American Muscle was born and what better way to pay homage to the idea that North America is still that mecca of bodybuilding and fitness equipment.

Paul and the team of craftsman focus on designing and manufacturing the most functional, robust, and aesthetically pleasing weight room and strength equipment at an affordable price point. Their goal is always continuous improvement and as such they encourage feedback from clients, vendors, advisors and consultants.
North American Muscle continues to focus on providing quality weight room and strength equipment solutions to a wide variety of clients including High Schools, Colleges, Universities, Performance facilities and Commercial gyms.
